Refreshing mango slushie on a hot day? “Yes, please!” From, everyone.

Sometimes the most delicious treats are the simplest. Simple is healthier. Simple is yummier. Simple is the easiest to make! Here’s an easy slushie drink that the kids and adults all love. It helps with hydration, vitamin C and feeling full to avoid that afternoon snack craving on a Sunday afternoon.

Healthy Mango Slushie Treat

Start with an awesome powerful blender. I use my Vitamix. But you can adapt this to individual portions and also use a Ninja upside down blender.

Throw in a banana or two. Bananas provide natural sweetness and have potassium for muscle health. This recipe is a great way to keep the children eating bananas when they don’t normally want to.

Add 2 cups of ice. This makes it slushy. And helps get water into the kids!

Pour another two cups of frozen mango over the ice. This is the gold part. Who doesn’t love mango? Frozen mango is preserved at peak ripeness. It saves you from having to peel regular mangoes. And it is also wallet friendly.

Finally, pour enough liquid over it so kit will blend. I like to use a mix of orange juice with mango and filtered water. You could also use nondairy milk. For the adults, feel free to add in your favorite liquor along with the juice or water. Tequila, vodka or Crown Royal would all be yummy.

Blend away. If it stops blending, add more liquid and stir to get it to the bottom. If it’s too watery, add more fruit.

You can serve with a spoon or a straw depending on how thick the liquid is. Enjoy!!!
